LEGO Ghostbusters

LEGO Ghostbusters

The LEGO Ghostbusters theme is a licensed product line first introduced in 2014, featuring detailed sets based on the classic films and the 2016 reboot. The sets are known for their authenticity and include iconic locations and vehicles like the Ecto-1 and the Firehouse Headquarters.

Iconic Sets

The Ghostbusters theme has produced several highly detailed and collectible sets for fans of the franchise.

Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108): Released in 2014 as a result of the LEGO Ideas program, this was the first Ghostbusters set. It includes the iconic white Cadillac with removable roof, paranormal detection equipment, and minifigures of the four main characters: Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddemore.

Firehouse Headquarters (75827): This massive, highly detailed model was released in 2016 and features over 4,600 pieces. The two-story building has opening walls for access to a lab, containment unit, garage, living quarters, and more. It includes nine minifigures and various ghost figures, and the doors open wide enough to park the 21108 Ecto-1 inside.

Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (10274): Released in 2020 and based on the Ghostbusters: Afterlife film, this is the largest and most detailed LEGO Ecto-1 model ever produced, with 2,352 pieces. This set is a large-scale model for adult collectors and does not include minifigures. It features a new curved windscreen piece, a "gunner" seat that rotates out, and working steering.

Ecto-1 & 2 (75828): Based on the 2016 film, this set includes both the new Ecto-1 vehicle and the Ecto-2 motorbike, along with five minifigures of the new characters: Abby Yates, Erin Gilbert, Jillian Holtzmann, Patty Tolan, and Kevin Beckman.

Other Products

In addition to the main sets, the Ghostbusters license was used for other LEGO products:

LEGO Dimensions: The "toys-to-life" video game featured several Ghostbusters themed physical expansion packs, including a Level Pack (71228) with Peter Venkman, a mini Ecto-1, and a ghost trap; a Slimer Fun Pack (71241); a Stay Puft Fun Pack (71233) with a Terror Dog; and a Story Pack (71242) based on the 2016 movie.

BrickHeadz: A set featuring buildable stylized figures of Peter Venkman and Slimer (41622) was released in 2018.

Many of the older sets are now retired but can be found through secondary marketplaces and independent sellers.
